Christmas message
For unto us a child is Born.
unto us a Son is Given.
The greatest Christmas gift cannot be purchased in a store
or ordered from a catalog. It cannot be wrapped in a
pretty package with a fancy bow. But it can be seen in
the eyes of a child, heard in the words of kindness, and felt
in the embrace of a friend. At Christmas, we wish for you
and send to you this precious gift of love.
May your Christmas and New Year be filled with peace,
happiness, and love.

December happenings
Wow It is December! A couple of exciting events happened. Our Bichon Frise, Dakota had his first birthday and he is a loveable little dog. Lindsey had an indoor field hockey game, her bobcats beat the Hoffman Home team. That was the end of November actually. Kristina had her first swim meet and she did very well. She got two 3rd place ribbons in two relay events and the other event she swam was the exhibition heat of freestyle and still got 3rd place.(The team who had the swim meet did not order ribbons for exhibition heats). We are trying to get our house decorated for Christmas. We didn't get our tree yet. Soon we will. Shopping is going slowly again. Remember to keep US soldiers in your prayers' this Christmas season. And we want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas! |

November birthdays are over!
Yeah, we survived our November birthdays
(Doug and Linda)! Now we can get busy with
Christmas planning. It is still way too warm
around here for this time of year. We need
snow to prepare better for Christmas! Happy
Shopping, but remember Christmas is more
about stuff, it is about the birth of Jesus. We
shouldn't forget the reason for the season.

November
Now it is November . October just flew by! Halloween was awesome this year! The actual day got up to 70 degrees and the evening wasn't too bad either. Today doesn't feel like November either. And I thought it was supposed to rain. A few of our leaves got raked, still more need to be raked. Pumpkins are rotting on our porch I guess they don't like the warm weather. The carving went OK this year. And there seems to be a lot of candy in our house. Fundraiser are crazy again this year. Why does every organization have to fund raise in similar ways??? Sell this and that, whatever. That's all I have for now. Have a good month.

Post another October
I am just trying to see if this post goes to the main blog page. October is flying by. The weather is turning cooler, pumkins are ready to be picked. Leaves around the area are gorgeous. And Kristina has her costume picked out, she got a tiger outfit for Halloween. Pictures are still not making it on this blog, I am trying to work it out. They are definitely missing. OK. See ya!

Hey! It is October! Time to pick pumpkins and get carving. Things are going good, Lindsey had a goal in a JV field hockey game and the JV team won 2-0. Kristina had a weekend off, there wasn't a soccer game. She gets to start swimming in the Bobcat Swim Club next week. She can't wait to compete. See ya!

September 22, 2006 is today. And our youngest daughter is turning 8 years old. Kristina is a third grader and is playing on a youth league soccer team this fall. Our other daughter Lindsey, is playing high school field hockey. And she scored a goal and had an assist last night in the varsity game, which her team won 3-2. We are so proud of her daughters. Life is good.

August 16, 2006
Wow! Middle of August, I have been lapse in posting this summer. Daughters are always on the computer. Weather has been pretty nice too. We got to Ocean City and got to see the horses on the beach again, stayed in Maryland this year, did not go into Virginia. Girls just love the beach and the ocean. No hurricanes to ruin our vacation. Did get our jet ski on the Susquehanna too a few times and once up to a lake in upstate NY. We still want to get another jet ski, maybe a 3 person one so we can tow a tube behind. That would be a blast! Dakota is getting big and we still need help with house training, crate just does not deter him, if he has to go he does, usually in the girls' bedrooms, they don't shut their doors when they need to. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. It is hard to believe another week and the girls will be back in school. They go back early this year, so next year it could be late like after labor day, school construction is going on. I will sign off now. Bye.

June 30, 2006
Wow! Another month has gone by. June went so fast. The girls are done with school for the summer, School's out for the summer, they love to sing that sometimes. It brings back a lot of memories. We haven't made any big vacations plans yet. There is a big graduation party(High School) for a niece, this weekend, that should be a lot of fun. We should get our jet ski out on a lake in New York, Sunday or Monday. I am not sure where we will watch the fireworks on the 4th of July. The girls are getting antsy, I will let them get in the pool I guess. Take care.

Last day of May
Hey! It is the last day of May! The weather has turned hot and humid. I think it is supposed to go back to normal next weekend. The girls have to go to school another week until their summer vacation starts. We have to get our pool opened, but the jet ski is ready to go. Are you ready for the summer? See you later.

Mother's Day 2006
Hey! Happy belated Mother's Day! We went to the street fair, the rain didn't come. Not too many people there this year, vendors or customers.
For Mother's day I got a pretty hanging baskets with little purple petunia like flowers and a booklet of recipes Kristina gathered at school. The flowers have been visited by a female hummingbird, so I will have to keep it blooming for them. The weather has been wet, it seems more like April then May.
I also want to wish all the May Birthdays in our family a Happy Birthday! And also to any of our friends that have a May birthday. Take care.

Last weekend in April
Hey! It is the last Friday in April, wow! Our family is walking in the March of Dimes Walkamerica 2006 on Sunday, April 30, at John Rudy County Park. This is a great organization and the cause is for saving babies who are born prematurely. Just a little fact: about half a million babies are born prematurely every year...That's over 1300 a day! Most of the money raised goes to research and programs that help prevent infant mortality and birth defects. Every cent helps. Maybe you would like to walk in your communities Walkamerica, if not you can still support this great cause go to www.walkamerica.org/LDutton1 and donate today. Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated. I know the weather is going to cooperate where we are this Sunday and we will have a good time too.

Another beautiful Spring Day!
Its another beautiful spring day, we hope you had a great Easter weekend. We did. We are back home to a yard that needs to be mowed. In our neighborhood ours looks to be the one that hasn't been mowed yet, I am sure we will get to it soon. April is just flying by. Soon May will be here. Strange weekend with no Nextel cup race going on, Kevin Harvick won the Busch race on Saturday, not sure who did what besides him. We didn't watch that race, it was too nice outside to be in watching I guess. Ok. Gotta run .

March 24
Hey! It is Friday again! The official start of spring this week. I saw some snow showers this morning, daffodils are about to burst open though. Nascar heads to Bristol, should be an interesting race. Dale Jr. and Jeff Gordon have to be happy this week they had a pretty good showing last Monday in Atlanta. Ryan Newman is still struggling a little bit. He will turn it around soon. Some of us loved to see Kasey Kahne win, I was just glad it wasn't Jimmy Johnson or Tony Stewart. Hopefully we will like who wins at Bristol. Have a great weekend.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It is Friday too! It is gonna be a cold weekend! I wonder if the robins are confused. Nascar is headed to Atlanta this weekend. Let's hope Jimmie Johnson does not win his 3rd race. I hope Ryan Newman rebounds from last week. Las Vegas was not so lucky for him. We hope you have a great St Patrick's Day and a good weekend. See ya.

Springtime?
Wow! I have seen robins playing and the purple crocuses are blooming in our front beds. We need to take the leaves off the other spring flowers. We haven't before because of frost. It is March 9, maybe it is safe to remove them now. The family went skiing on Sunday, Ski Roundtop was busy. We had a lot of fun. Have to start thinking about springtime activities I guess. The weather is even getting springlike. It is supposed to hit 60 degrees today and the weekend it maybe warmer, no 70 degrees though. OK. Bye.

Daytona 500
They ran the Daytona 500! Jeff Gordon didn't do so well, but Ryan Newman got 3rd, yeah number 12! Jimmie Johnson won, that is a bummer. I hope Nascar didn't let him cheat to win it. Tony Stewart needs a knocking on his head for what he did to Matt Kenseth and Jeff Gordon. We just love Nascar! Go #12 and #24!!! and #99 and #9!!! woohoo

Hi,
It is February. The weather is warm, not sure the groundhog knows what he is talking about. It sure does not feel like winter around here. Puppy training is going pretty good, Dakota is such a cutie. Our cats are not warming up to him though. He barks at them whenever he sees them run by. And they are still bigger than him by about 5 pounds. It is so funny. I really want Lindsey to post the pictures of him with her cousins' big black dog, Noel. The size and the color difference is hilarious. Even their cat, liked to play with Dakota, their cat is used to a big dog so a little dog didn't scare him. I will have to watch to see how to post pictures with our digital camera the next time she posts with it. Hopefully soon that will happen. Take care.

Isn't our Bichon Frise cute?
Hi, It is January 19,2006 already! Well, I never got the pictures of our house on here sorry. But our daughter got a picture of our new puppy Dakota on, isn't he cute. He is a tiny Bichon Frise we got after Christmas. He is almost 11 weeks old and getting used to his crate but still having accidents in our house! Anyone with ideas on how to housetrain a puppy please share your ideas with us. We would greatly appreciate any advice. Also advice on how to get cats to take to him too would be appreciated. We now have plenty of pets in our household. Most are in cages or aquarium. OK. Bye.

New Year Already!
Lindsey reporting for Down by the Crick newspaper - This new year as gone off to a good start for the family. We were home for New Years and of course stayed up until 12:00. Unfortunately the 2 girls had school on the 2nd even though Dad took vacation for work. Lately we have been having fun with our new puppy Dakota. He is currently 9 weeks old and went to the vet on Wed. We are slowly getting him used to his crate and are house training him.
Yesterday we were kinda busy. We went to a basketball game at 11:00 because Kristina had to cheer for it. Afterwards we went to Debbie's for pizza. Then we went to the east end to do a little shopping and returned home around 2:30. Mom watched the Redskins game which they won 17-10. We did a few things around the house, but other than that we didn't do much last night.
This morning a few things have happened. Lindsey has been busy cleaning Sidney's cage and giving him a bath. Also she vacuumed her room and updated their geocaching.com account. Kristina also cleaned Carmel's cage. This afternoon, the family plans on going ice skating and possibly giving Dakota his first bath. Coming soon will be up-to-date pictures once the picture software is downloaded and future updates. This is Lindsey, signing off.
